Los Angeles, CA (May, 19 2023). Los Angeles based Estonian writer-director Liisi Rohumäe, most known for the 2019 Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival Nominee Chasing Unicorns, makes her directorial debut at the Hollywood Fringe Festival with the play she wrote called We’ll Come Back to the Title. It’s Fine.

Rohumäe is returning to theater after focusing on film and TV, she was the head writer of the successful TV series Suletud Uste Taga (Behind Closed Doors) which was in TOP 10 position in TV ratings throughout its entire 12-episode run.

Her previous theatre credits include the play Apart which had a 13-month run in Estonia, followed by select performances in Toronto, Canada where the show had its international premiere in 2018. Apart was met with positive reviews, with a major daily Estonian newspaper saying “Liisi Rohumäe‘s writing has found that fine thread that connects those who left their home country and those who stayed behind.” The reviewer goes on to call the play “compulsory viewing”.

She now introduces her most personal work yet, We’ll Come Back to the Title. It’s Fine. – a love letter to creatives everywhere, this play sees their plight, their sorrow, their stubbornness and most of all, their endurance. The story revolves around three actors and a writer-director who are working on an action play called Die Yesterday. The actors play multiple characters throughout, having genuine fun with the play within the play format.

The cast features Leila Almas Rose as Ally, who is best known for her lead role in the movie, The Summoning, she also stars in the Terrence Malick-produced feature film, Beautiful People, and the award-winning English/Arabic feature, Jacir.

Jessica Park who plays Triin, is the lead of Prelude that had its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival 2021, she also stars in Marvel’s Daredevil.

Peruvian-American actor Jaime Zevallos who plays Diego, got his first ‘break’ in Spike Lee’s Summer of Sam and has received much acclaim for his Series Regular role as Father Delgado in Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger.

Afro-Latina actress Frankie Barrios plays Taylor, she is widely known for her Series Regular role as Nurse Christine in Attaway General, which clocked in over 40 million views with its first season alone.
