People find ways to escape the pressures of life and the pursuit of their dreams but in Hollywood, a drugged escape can get you more than you imagined on many levels. “Shattered Pitch” confronts the patriarchal need for power the twisted relationship that abused love has with the deceiving entertainment industry and how a series of betrayals can mean life or death.
Synopsis: Bailee, a small town Texas girl with nothing to lose, takes a leap of faith and moves to Los Angeles to pursue her dream of becoming a star. As chance would have it, she meets Sammy, a music producer who can help sky rocket her career; but will Sammy’s controlling ways and Bailee’s new found escape in the world of drugs drive her down the Boulevard of broken dreams?
“Shattered Pitch” producers feel it’s important to not only portray stories through film realistically to the best of our ability, but also portray the diversity of race, gender and other margins of identification in entertainment abundantly at the same time, as that is the reality of our world.
