Los Angeles, CA. Mike Donahue’s directorial debut TROY explores the way in which a neighbour’s noise can completely overtake your home and effect your daily life, particularly when living in close proximity in a city like New York.

The darkly comedic short film held its premiere at Tribeca. It has now in selection at over 30 prestigious international film festivals. It winning numerous awards along the way (including Outfest’s Audience Award for Best Narrative Short). Now, this wonderful film is in selection to screen at the prestigious Sundance Film Festival in January.

Logline: Troy has loud sex. Troy has loud sex 24-7. He shares a wall with Thea and Charlie. Troy is ruining their lives… or is he saving them? A darkly comedic tale of New York neighbors, the ways in which we become interwoven with the lives of strangers, and the unexpected consequences of unasked-for intimacy.

Writer/director Mike Donahue is a graduate of Harvard University and the Yale School of Drama. Prior to making this, his debut film, he’s worked extensively as a theatre director in New York and Los Angeles. Just some of his extensive credits include the world premieres of Matthew Lopez’s The Legend of Georgia McBride (MCC, The Geffen and Denver Center, Joe A. Callaway Award, Outer Critics Circle Nomination, Ovation Award Nomination); Jen Silverman’s Collective Rage (MCC, Woolly Mammoth, Drama League Nomination); The Moors (Playwrights Realm – NYC premiere; Phoebe in Winter (Clubbed Thumb); Ana Nogueira’s Which Way To The Stage (MCC); Ethan Lipton’s Red-Handed Otter (Playwrights Realm); the LA premiere of Matthew Lopez’s The Inheritance (Geffen Playhouse); and Little Shop of Horrors with MJ Rodriguez, George Salazar, and Amber Riley (Pasadina Playhouse).
