Innovative filmmakers challenge conventions, simultaneously producing two features from a script

Orlando, Florida (May, 12 2023). Filmmakers Trent Duncan and Joe O’Connor break new ground in the independent film industry with their innovative filmmaking approach. Their latest project, The 2 Feature Project, is a unique concept. It aims to challenge the traditional way of producing movies. Trent Duncan and Joe O’Connor, are simultaneously producing two feature-length horror films from one script, Axes and Os and Valentines Lake, with each film offering a different perspective on the same story.
The 2 Feature Project is a thrilling cinematic experience that promises to take the audience on a journey like never before. Axes and Os logline, follows the story of four fearless women on a Valentine’s weekend getaway who fall prey to a vicious Axeman. In contrast, Valentines Lake logline, tells a similar story, but with a twist. The ladies are captured by the town’s cult, to be offered as sacrifices to the ancient lake monster.
Creator Trent Duncan explains, “We’re utilizing one story structure to serve two thematically different films.” This creative approach is a testament to the filmmakers’ (Trent Duncan & Joe O’Connor) dedication to providing an exceptional viewing experience for their audience. The 2 Feature Project gives the filmmakers a chance to push boundaries and showcase their skills in a unique way.
Producer Joe O’Connor adds, “The 2 Feature Project gives us a chance to do something that I’ve never seen done before. We’re basically making two movies from one production.” This ambitious project has the potential to change the way films are produced and offers a glimpse into the future of the film industry.
Both films are written, and directed by Trent Duncan, known for his Epic Horror Battles on YouTube, Trent has over 255K subscribers, and over 70M views. According to Duncan, “I’m making this project to push the boundaries of film creativity and production. The world is constantly consuming content, so we’re just feeding the monster in a more creative and productive way.”
The 2 Feature Project is a testament to the filmmakers’ vision, passion, and creativity. The film stars is no other than scream queen Jamie Bernadette. Jamie is no stranger to the horror genre, with over 100 credits to her name. Bernadette’s co cast is rising star Cass Huckabay, Madison M. Bowman, and Brandon Krum as the Axeman Luther Dremel.
The 2 Feature Project team has launched an Indiegogo campaign to raise additional funds for the second film, Valentines Lake, and welcomes support from anyone who wants to be part of filmmaking history.
The films begin production in late June of 2023 in Orlando, Florida, with both films scheduled for release in early 2024.
