UPDATES: ‘Orange Is The New Black’s’ Uzo Aduba Has Serious Pipes
Sunday was a huge night for Orange Is The New Black … not only did the show walk away with a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series, but the dramedy’s star, Uzo Aduba, took home the award for Outstanding Female Actor.
Uzo’s role as the popular character, Crazy Eyes, really shows the depth of the actress’ artistry, but you might be shocked to learn that acting isn’t the Boston native’s only major talent.
“She has a set of pipes. She can sing. She can sing like crazy,” the OITNB cast told HipHollywood while on the red carpet for the SAG Awards. But apparently Uzo isn’t the only one. “As can 90% of the cast can, lets be honest,” Emma Myles added.
Co-stars Adrienne C. Moore, Vicky Jeudy, Jackie Cruz, Diane Guerrero later stopped by to show off their singing skills with Shai’s, “If I Ever Fall in Love.”
Maybe OITNB could go to Broadway!?!
