This film grapples with vengeance vs justice and the role of vigilantism in a broken justice system. Protégé was conceived by BTG Productions’ writer and director team, Stephen Nagel and Dean Ravell.

11 years and 7 films into their creative journey, each film by this tenacious, up-and-coming duo grows in depth, complexity, and cinematic appeal. Protégé will be no different. Earlier films by Dean and Stephen include Frozen Yoghurt, Relentless, and Detour. These films exist purely through the love of filmmaking and sharing.
Increasing the reach and impact of Protégé, a vital piece of art comes with some complex obstacles, including production and distribution costs. Stephen Phillipson joins as cinematographer, and sound design plus original score is by composer Bobby Dean.
