Los Angeles, CA (July 18, 2023). Freestyle Digital Media is the digital film distribution division of Byron Allen’s Allen Media Group. It has acquired North American VOD rights to the coming-of-age feature film NIGHT BLOOMS. NIGHT BLOOMS is part of the feature film return of actor Nick Stahl. He starred in IN THE BEDROOM, SIN CITY, TERMINATOR 3, after a lengthy absence from movies. It will be available to rent/own on all digital HD internet, cable, and satellite platforms, as well on DVD. Starting on July 18, 2023, through Freestyle Digital Media.
NIGHT BLOOMS tells a 1990s-era story of a young woman who begins an affair with her best friend’s father. Carly, a 17-year-old girl from a broken home, dreams of a different life. Escaping reality and her deadbeat mom through drugs and unrealistic fantasies of making as a rock star. Carly spends most of her time at her best friend Laura’s house. Whose mom prioritizes her romantic pursuits over her children’s well-being. When Laura’s young, handsome father, Wayne, re-enters her life, Carly’s bears witness to what a ‘good man’ is for the first time. Wayne is recently sober, keeps a nice home and seems to care for his daughter. Developing her newly discovered sexuality. Carly sets her sights on Wayne, eventually seducing him, sending their fragile lives into a permanent spiral.
Written and directed by Stephanie Joline, NIGHT BLOOMS was produced by Jason Levangie and Marc Tetreault. Marcel Gallant, Chris Goguen, and Marc Savoie served as Executive Producers. The cast features Nick Stahl (‘Wayne/Laura’s Father’), Jessica Clement (‘Carly’), and Alexandra McDonald (‘Laura’).
