indieactivity : When did you discover the love for acting?
Mike Provenzano : If you would’ve asked me five years ago if I would be an Actor right now I would have said no way, you’re crazy. When I went to my first open call I still didn’t expect to become an actor. Then I did my first project which was about three years ago and was like wow I really love doing this. I can say that I was interested in this when I was in my 20s but definitely did not have the confidence or life experiences that I have today.
indieactivity : You are an actor and model. Is there any synergy between them?
Mike Provenzano : Yes, in modeling you get the confidence of being on camera and that is something that I did not have or even think that I had prior to entering the industry. As a model, you learn to look into the camera, as an Actor you learn to not look into the camera. So it’s interesting how each works but the nice thing is that the more work I do on either side gives me more confidence on both sides.
indieactivity : Tell us about your commercial work?
Mike Provenzano : I can see that I am getting a lot of publicity out of a commercial shoot that I did for the WindCreek Bethlehem casino as they put me on the outside of the Hoboken path train, their email blast campaign has my photo on the front of it and I was on a big digital board outside of Madison Square Garden.
indieactivity : Do you have specific genres that appeal to you?
Mike Provenzano : Well, I think that I’ve become more of a dramatic Actor than anything else. I enjoy playing a father figure because I am one and it comes naturally. However, I also enjoy playing the CEO, a lawyer, a doctor/those types of roles.
indieactivity : How did you get involved with the new film, “Unclaimed Remains.”?
Mike Provenzano : This one was an actor’s dream. Tom Phillips of G St. productions found me on the website Mandy.com. He reached out to me and told me that based on the footage I had there that I would be perfect for this role. He saw that I was able to convey expressions without saying words in some of the other projects I have worked on in the past.

indieactivity : What role do you play?
Mike Provenzano : I play the role of Sergeant Timothy Moore. He is a military sergeant during The Korean war sending soldiers off to the front line. I motivate those going into battle to have a reason to return. Then we see me and the private I sent into battle together 20 years later.
indieactivity : Did you learn anything from this role?
Mike Provenzano : Wow, did I learn anything from this role? Absolutely!! As an actor, I learned to be very stern in my look as a military commander. I also learned that while we see military commanders as being very stern they are also human beings and care about the people underneath them. They are compassionate caring individuals.
indieactivity : What should people know about the director?
Mike Provenzano : Tom Phillips is a great man to work with. G Street Productions is a very professional organization. Tom takes his job very seriously and only produces quality products. I would recommend him to anyone that is looking to put a project together from a client’s point of view or to work with from an actor’s point of view.
indieactivity : Share your upcoming projects?
Mike Provenzano : I have two feature films coming up. Luna is a film about are vampires and is a horror film. No Way Out is also another feature film that I will be involved with next year. Also another horror film. I am also currently involved in multiple commercial projects that I will be working on in the near future. There are several projects that I’ve worked on recently as a spokesperson
indieactivity : What would people be surprised to know about you?
Mike Provenzano : I am a husband and father of four boys. I have three brothers and one sister and from the age of nine until 14 I lived in a foster home with 40 other children. This foster home remains close to my heart and it is literally 10 minutes from my home
