Fresh off recurring as Santiago Martin Heimler on FX’s Mayans MC, Alexander Bedria is set to guest star as FBI Special Agent Randall Cejudo on CBS’ highly rated drama NCIS: Los Angeles.
Bedria plays an experienced federal agent who works with the NCIS team to track a missing undercover agent, but may have his own reasons for the manhunt.
NCIS: Los Angeles director Dan Liu (The Walking Dead) praised Bedria’s work: “Alex quickly grasped the human side of the brash agent and added a nuanced performance that greatly enhanced the character.”
Bedria has been consistently on the rise, curating a body of work that reflects a deeply rooted sense of integrity. In his early career he turned down opportunities that he considered to be one-dimensional or ethnic stereotypes. This notion has driven Bedriato land dynamic and varied roles in critically acclaimed hit shows including The Newsroom, Ray Donovan, Mayans MC, Scandal, and now NCIS: Los Angeles.
The talented actor’s directorial debut was with The Zim, a film that deals with themes of racial politics and violence in southern Africa. The controversial short netted him the coveted Best of Fest at LA Shorts Fest, an Oscar qualifying award. Among the film’s considerable accolades, it was chosen for the esteemed SAG-AFTRA Short Film showcase, and an Artios Award nomination for Casting Director Jessica Sherman.
Sherman, a prominent casting director in Hollywood whose credits include Bates Motel, The Strain, and Star Wars: The Force Awakens, says of Bedria: “I’ve always known Alex to be a talent in front of the camera, and it was a joy to collaborate with him as a director. He created an environment that encouraged creativity and teamwork across the board.” She added, “It’s been exciting to watch him evolve from a gifted performer into a passionate storyteller.”
NCIS: Los Angeles airs Sunday, March 8 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Bedria’s award winning short The Zim will be released on Vimeo on the same day.
He will next be seen in the MPX/Winther Bros. Entertainment thriller Aftermath, alongside Ashley Greene and Shawn Ashmore.
Bedria is repped by Industry Entertainment and Danis, Panaro, Nist Talent.
