Documentary about a Senior Twitch Streaming Jigsaw Puzzler “Livestreams with Grandma” to screen at CIFF
Los Angeles, CA (March 24, 2025). Adele Tiffith’s lifelong love for puzzling becomes her unexpected salvation when her hobby suddenly becomes a lifeline to preserve her mental health and connect with others through her growing Twitch community. Emily Sheskin’s heartwarming and uplifting documentary Livestreams with Grandma premiered at Hot Springs Documentary Film Festival, where it won an audience award for Favourite Short Film, and will screen at the upcoming, Oscar-qualifying, Cleveland International Film Festival.
Emily Sheskin is an award-winning film and commercial director who tells stories full of optimism and resilience without glossing over life’s challenges. Her short films have featured in The New York Times, National Geographic, The Atlantic, and even pirated on TikTok (though she’d prefer credit). Her first feature film, JESSZILLA, premiered in 2023 at the Big Sky Documentary Film Festival, where it was in competition.
It went on to play at notable festivals around the world (IDFA, DOC NYC, Hot Springs Documentary Film Festival) and won awards with Slamdance, Fargo Film Festival, Rhode Island Film Festival, Ridgefield Film Festival, and the Atlanta Film Festival. She is currently 1/2 of the duo behind Chicken Wing Pictures.

Ben is a film producer based in New York City. He works on both commercial and film projects and is a member of the Documentary Producers Alliance, Film Independent, and Variable. He first worked with Emily on a short called Girl Boxer, which debuted as a NY Times Op-Doc back in 2017 before turning it into a feature. Now they are working on Puzzle People, their second feature documentary.
Adele, affectionately called Gma, is a 3-time BIPOC Streamer Award-winning Twitch streamer. Who is star of a short documentary, Livestreams with Grandma Puzzles. She credits her community of 24.8k followers with giving her a new lease on life. She says that the success she’s having is only because of their belief and encouragement. Her goal in everything she does in life is to make them proud. You can find Adele on her Twitch stream and also in person at speed puzzle competitions. There she hopes to one day have an all-black competitive team to bring more representation to the puzzle community.

Livestreams with Grandmapuzzles will screen at The Cleveland International Film Festival. It is premiering on April 2 at the Allen Theatre at 11:55am. As part of Shorts Program 10 and will be available on CIFF Streams from April 6-13. Find more information here.
