“The Trilogy” is Bruno Pischiutta’s eagerly anticipated film project
Press Release: Joe Legend cast as lead in The Trilogy
Los Angeles, CA (July, 6 2023)—Trying to define Joe Legend is not an easy task. In fact, Joe is an absolute gentleman and an intellectual with a great artistic temperament. In addition to being a professional wrestler and having an exceptional physique.
“For many years,’ Joe Legend explains, ‘I was attracted to kickboxing. But in the end I chose pro-wrestling because I liked its showmanship and considered it a great way to see much of the world. So far I have already been to 46 countries, so I guess I was right.”
By practicing his sport professionally, he is always in front of the public and the cameras. Today, he alternates between wrestling and acting. He has done TV series in America and two series in England. A few films in France, and has appeared on many talk shows in several countries.
Joe Legend is also a published writer of books that have been optioned for film and television. Recently, he signed a deal with a new publishing house and will be attending various literary and book signing events.
His real film debut is set to be in the second film of The Trilogy that will be shot in Greece. Joe Legend will play Dimitri, the owner of the gym and spa where much of the movie’s action takes place.
In the film, Dimitri is in an open marriage to Aphrodite. Who is played by the very attractive Filipina transsexual actress Miss Seven. While he is also in a relationship with a young Norwegian girl. Romina, played by the beautiful Austrian actress Petra Stevic.
“The exceptional situation of Joe Legend. Who now intends to switch from professional wrestling to acting full-time. Makes us think of another very famous and popular sportsman. Mickey Rourke.
There are similarities between the two characters, but there are big differences too. First, there is the age. Mikey is now in his seventies. While Joe is much, much younger, and then Mikey was a boxer before he turned to film.
Generally speaking, athletes who enter the entertainment field are all exceptionally gifted from a physical point of view. A quality that never hurts, and they all see acting as a chance for a second success.
Many athletes who were already extremely successful in their sporting careers, are known to perform extremely well in movies.’ says director Bruno Pischiutta. ‘And I am certain that Joe will be fully capable to play the part I have entrusted him with in The Trilogy. And that he will be very well received in the future.”
“The part of Dimitri,’ continues Pischiutta, ‘is a complicated one, with a lot of dialogue and action. I am looking forward to directing Joe Legend. And, I am sure that I will have no difficulty: I have known him for a long time. I had the opportunity to verify his superior intelligence and artistic sensitivity.
I know that he will play the part in the best way. Because Joe is a deeply honest person and he is also honest with himself. The Dimitri-Aphrodite couple is one of the mainstays of the gym and the spa. Not only as a location, but also as a reference point. For all the other characters who move in that setting.”
The entire film’s subject matter concerns the relationships of the various couples who are on holiday in the Greek resort. Relationships, as we know them, are never similar. There are substantial differences that create the plot in which the audience can recognize themselves on the screen as they would in a large mirror.
All this is played-out against the backdrop of the Greek sea and summer. A very different landscape from the wintery London in which the other two films of The Trilogy take place.
