Los Angeles, CA (September 11, 2024). GNFF 2024. The 13th annual Global Nonviolent Film Festival will be held online from September 26 to October 13 for all the world to see. Every year around this time, I prepare myself with excitement for the start of this truly inspiring event that I came to love over the last few years. All the way from Hawaii, from the comfort of my home, my friends and I are able to watch an array of intelligently curated films from all corners of the world with a simple click to GlobalCinema.online.
The special and exciting news of GNFF 2024 is that the entire program of the 18-day event, including all the competing films, will be available to the public FREE of charge. Film Maestro Bruno Pischiutta and producer Daria Trifu, members of the European Film Academy, launched the Global Nonviolent Film Festival with live screenings in theaters and public squares in the picturesque city of Brasov, Romania, in 2012. After four consecutive editions held in Brasov, the festival went online in 2016 in order to reach a worldwide audience.
In keeping with their mission and scope of establishing the festival into a truly global event, the founders decided the audience should have unconditional access to the brilliant work of the participating directors and producers. “The festival has grown steadily in the course of its 12 annual editions in terms of viewership and number of participating films. In a sign of appreciation and as a thanks to our loyal audience, we have decided to offer the entire program of GNFF 2024 edition free of charge. In this way, the competing movies, along with our daily video presentations and the awards’ show, will be available to watch by simply going to our streaming channel, GlobalCinema.online, and without the need of registration or credit cards,” says Pischiutta.
The live program of the Global Nonviolent Film Festival (GNFF 2024) will start on September 26 to end on October 7 with the awards presentation. The competing films, however, will continue screening until the 13th to give the viewers more time to see them after the results are in.
A diverse and ambitious set of international movies, documentaries, and music videos that do not contain gratuitous violence will entertain and inform all. The lineup and full program will be announced on September 16, when individual articles about the participating movies will be published in DARIA! magazine (DariaMagazine.com) that will also provide full media coverage throughout the event.
All the films selected will receive international distribution contract proposals from Global Cinema Online, the distribution arm of Canadian media company Global Film Studio. This ensures a multi-national clientele and global reach for the movies’ directors, actors, and investors at GNFF 2024.
The selected GNFF 2024 films will compete for awards decided by the jury. A notable and impressive group of film professionals from four countries makeup this year’s jury panel.
