Los Angeles, CA – March 8, 2022 – Freestyle Digital Media, the digital film distribution division of Byron Allen’s Allen Media Group/Entertainment Studios, has acquired North American VOD rights to the controversial horror-thriller feature film FOLLOWER from Smallertown Productions.
FOLLOWER will be available to rent and own on global digital HD internet, and satellite platforms on March 29, 2022, through Freestyle Digital Media.

Based on a story
“Follower” is based on a true story by Serena Kamlani, James Rich, & Zachary Hersh (AKA Nofazce), FOLLOWER was directed by James Rich and co-written by Rich and Zachary Hersh.
James Rich, Zachary Hersh, and Leah Kauffman produced the film under the banner of Smallertown Productions, with Larry Gury and Christopher Finefrock serving as executive producers.
The cast of FOLLOWER features Revell Carpenter (‘Heather’), Molly Leach (‘Riley’), Gigi James (‘Sam’) Chris Scarciotta (‘The Follower’), Walker Edelman (‘Terry’), Jonathan Jennings (‘Party Guy’), James Rich (‘Jake’), Serena Kamlani (Jamie’), and Ted Rich (‘Gas Station Attendant’).
“In our new digital world driven by likes, comments, views, and followers, FOLLOWER explores the festering evil that lurks beneath,” said director James Rich. FOLLOWER brings a new level of realism into the horror/thriller genre that will terrify, excite, and challenge the audience.”
“To truly convey the experience of not just the victims but the people who were following along online as it happened, we developed an interactive component for FOLLOWER that allows the viewer the opportunity to follow the characters in real life,” said writer/producer Zachary Hersh.

Freestyle Digital Media negotiated the deal to acquire FOLLOWER directly with Tiffany Boyle at Ramo Law.
