Idris Elba, “The Suicide Squad” movie star has now boarded “Edicius”, Uzo Oleh’s new narrative short film thriller as an executive producer, indieactivity can exclusively confirm.
The film stars Chernobyl actor Michael Socha as Jason, a man who works on behalf of a powerful firm. “When Jason uncovers the truth behind his most powerful client, he knows his life is on the line”. “But a visit from his intuition, a man with his exact likeness, claims to have the answers to save him. All Jason has to do is trust him…but can he?”

Adele “Adesuwa” Oni (Hanna and The Witcher), Stuart Bowman (Bodyguard), and newcomer Sahera Khan also star.
Uzoh Oleh (above right) is a photographer and a director who has previously worked with some of the biggest names in entertainment including Elba, Cara Delevingne, and Lady Gaga. His photography has appeared in Vogue and I-D Magazine as well as exhibitions worldwide. He has also directed a number of commercials.
Uzo’s work has a universal appeal because of his signature style. He turns out stunning pieces of emotive art with every project. He can effortlessly marry raw emotion with visual elegance which is instantly visible in his cinematic work. Uzo’s one-minute debut short film won at the prestigious Raindance Film Festival.
Executive Producer Idris Elba says, “to trust our intuition is a familiar theme, but ‘Edicius’ dares to imagine the consequences of rejecting those gut instincts in a truly nightmarish tale”. “Uzo Oleh is a director who is one to watch,” says Idris.
The short film features a stand-out crew of cinematographer Tristan Chenais, production designer Philip Murphy, and editor John Smith. Film composer Thomas Farnon and Academy Award-winning sound designer Glenn Freemantle contributed to the project.
“Edicius” has now been selected for a large number of film festivals. The festivals include Raindance, Newport Beach, and Norwich Film Festival. It is also a qualifier for both the Academy Awards and the BAFTAs.
