Danny Arroyo is Executive at Media Distribution Partners as SOCIO gets Acquired

Los Angeles, CA–  Media Distribution Partners has announced the signing of Danny Arroyo to their entertainment company as Director of Entertainment Partnerships & Co-Productions, and the acquisition of SOCIO, a six-part episodic series written by Danny Arroyo, story by Jacob Zetino and Danny Arroyo. The series is a tense thriller that focuses on a deadly female protagonist with a wicked sense of humor, and an insatiable vendetta.

Principals at Media Distribution Partners, Shahrook Oomer and Ann Kimbrough will produce alongside Arroyoand Zetino, and anticipate shooting to begin in the second quarter of 2019. Directors Danny Drysdale and Delaney Bishop are in discussions to helm episodes, alongside Oomer and Arroyo.

Arroyo’s many acting credits include lead roles in the feature films The Last Smile, Branded, the comedy short Bite!, which Arroyo wrote, produced, directed, and starred in, and a series regular role on the El Rey Network TV show Sangre Negra, where Arroyo plays Detective Christian Santos.

SOCIO joins a growing slate of films and television projects for producingpartners Oomer,Kimbrough, and Arroyo.

About Danny Arroyo
Danny Arroyo is an award winning actor/writer/producer/director with a Bachelor’s Degree in Film Production, and over 75 film/TV/commercial/credits. He is an active member of the Television Academy (Emmys) and an advocate of Latino’s in entertainment.

Arroyo’s credits include playing Rico Fisher, the lead character in the true story film THE LAST SMILE, which won him Best Actor at the Silicon Valley Film Festival. He is a series regular on the TV series SANGRE NEGRA acting opposite veteran actors Erik Estrada and Eric Roberts, for which he won the “Best Actor” award at the Vive Latino America Awards Show for playing Detective Christian Santos, and starred and produced the feature film cop drama thriller BRANDED filmed in Birmingham, Alabama. 

Arroyo wrote, directed, produced, and starred in the comedy web series titled BITE!, based on a true story of when his home was invaded by bed bugs.  BITE! was the Winner of the Culver City Film Festival for “Best Comedy Short“. As an advocate of Latino’s in entertainment, Arroyo produced, wrote and hosted a very successful live event for the TV Academy titled, HOLA: THE PHENOMENAL GROWTH OF LATINO TV.

Currently, he is in development for the true story feature film he is producing and starring in the titled OUT OF CUBA, and developing a TV show titled SANGRE: THE COLOR OF DYING based on the hit book by Carlos Colón.
