Danae Grandison [re]Defined is a short drama of a New York tale about friendship; a 13 year old called Jae gets caught up in finding himself, and when he discovers something new about his best friend Jess, what he discovers will change their friendship forever.

At his job as a busboy, Jae confides in his boss, who is also his uncle: he stresses about getting into the right high school, getting along with his mom, and managing potential crushes. I like the blunt relaying of information here; thirteen year olds wouldn’t feel comfortable spilling their guts to an adult, Jae is a bit of a bumbling fool.
